TIPS ON HOW TO MAXIMIZE CLUB IMG!!! 1. Follow the instructions I send you. Get a yahoo name, and password (DONT FORGET YOUR PASSWORD!!!) yahoo will periodically prompt you for it from time to time. GET A YAHOO EMAIL that you can use when privately corresponding with the other "Club Associates". This will serve as your public non private email, it's free. 2. You can use the LINKS function to post websites you think might be helpful to IMGs, INVITE allows you to invite your IMG friends to the site, CHAT allows you to communicate realtime, and PROFILES allows you to see the personal data of your fellow Club IMGers. MESSAGE BOARDS allows you to post questions and get answers often multiple ones from the members of the club.LINKS allows you to post your sites that you think might be useful. 3. IMPORTANT: Please be accurate as possible with your profile so the members can correspond with you, it is not necessary to post highly personal data like names and phone numbers. just data which allows others to identify with you..like medical school graduated from, years graduated from, clinical experience, nationality , specialty etc. Use the profile function so that others would know what school you graduated from, what year you are in , and your approximate level of education. 4. Contribute to the public version of Club IMG http://www.homestead.com/clubIMG/clubIMG.html. The more IMGs surf the other site the more members we have and the better informed we will be. 5. If you see an IMG site post it, or email me so I can put the link on the public and private version of Club IMG!!!, or put it on the "add links" . 6. To access the "EXCLUSIVE" section of Club IMG at homestead read the "Founder's Message" over at the private club at yahoo.com. The password on how to access the exclusive page for members at homestead is at the bottom of the Founder's Message. 7. You don't need the Founder's permission to invite members. Once you become a member feel free to invite as many IMG friends as you can. 8. No advertisements are allowed in the club (well, we do but within limits. like books, etc. ) |

THE CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS!!! 1. This club was made to help every International Medical Graduate (IMG) secure the residency position of his/her choice in the USA. This organization works through the voluntary sharing of information. One unbreakable rule in the Private Club at yahoo. If you know the answer to a posted message POST IT!!. This is the foundation as to how it all works at Club IMG!!! Together if we pool our knowledge and information it will amount to a considerable sum 2. This club only works if we make it work. NO PASSIVE OBSERVERS please! It really is not necessary that you post information. the important thing is to PARTICIPATE. Give info, give support, give help give opinio...Just GIVE SOMETHING in return!!! 3. This club is composed of medical students, doctors, residents, fellows. No rudeness, obscenity in posted messages will be condoned. We are all doctors and post graduate students here 4. As a co founder I have the power to delete messages and membership. I will only use that power if another member seconds the deletion. I have had enough of KKK and "hater" types, any posted message along these lines will be deleted, along with your membership. 5.The "Club Faculty" as you can see above is composed of those IMGs who have "gone before" and are currently in a residency but are kind enough to help out by answering the members questions (called Club Associates by Igor!)..If you choose to accept the terms of the rules. and if you do match at a program please take the time out to be a faculty by still logging on and answering the other member's questions. Remember that once you needed help and was helped in return. 6. This public version was used so as the private club can attract more members, invite as many IMGs as you can yourself when you do get in the club. The more members we have the more information we have. 7. This website accepts no money and doesnt involve money in any shape, kind or form. It just involves the sincere desire to help others who are in the same situation we were before. 8. Club members are expected to be polite at all times befitting an educated and cultured person. All members are expected to respect the privacy of each and every member/faculty and as such, the club uses codenames, and not real names for these purposes except in cases where the member chooses to divulge private information by his own initiative.
