First founded on August 1998 by jc_img and Igor Sikorsky. Club IMG's very first glimmerings were born one frustrating day when I was surfing on the web and found that there were a couple of IMG sites which were really helpful but were not linked to each other. Hence one must use a search engine to look for them. The best compilation is one at IMGs in USA that is being managed by the webmaster from Ghetto for IMGs of which only a few are linked. Also, When upon surfing on the S2S netforum I found one Igor Sikorsky advising answering all IMG related questions and hence an idea was born. Wouldnt it be easier to build a site where all IMG related websites can be found. And where one can post and immedieately get an answer from residents already in the USA doing their training? Igor being already a resident an idea was born. Club IMG was officialy born on August 98 first there were only two members. And we tried posting all over the internet to attract more, (without ANY financial compensation of course) And soon there were hundreds in the club exchanging ideas. So far there were only a total of TWO members kicked out due to innappropriate behavior. The rest lauded the site as the "best thing that ever happened to IMGs in general. And so, I being currently in the midst of the application at that time, I found the site to be really helpful in terms of getting info about certain programs with other IMG who have aleady been there. And some advice from the residents who are already kind enough to help. With the help of the Club IMG, there were many who matched...and those posted above are the voluntary faculty who chose to stay behind and honor their commitment in posting regulary answers to posted questions in the club. ..Now currently there are 865 members in the club (started with one) and the club is still exponentially growing and expanding with new projects..(Like the Club Archives, a collection of all the informative posted messages compiled by volunteers from Club IMG!! The club is an invitation only, flame free site currently being handled by yours truly jc_img and igor as co founders with this public version at homestead being jc_img as webmaster. So in behalf of the Club IMG!! I bid you all welcome who surfs on this site and wish that the info and ideas contained herein will be as helpful to you as it as to me. |

Contained within the next pages are the "Club Rules and Regulations" of Club IMG. Clicking on the above takes you to a page which will outline how to make the most of Club IMG. It also contains the Club rules and regulations any violation of which will automatically get your membership deleted..permanently. Out of 870+ members there have been so far only TWO whose memberships have been deleted permanently and who have been banned from entering the private club at yahoo.com both of these persons are NOT international medical graduates and only came in pretending to be so. So far the success of club IMG has been based on freely sharing information amongst each other, and so far it has worked. It is up to the new members to make Club IMG continue on indefinitely...and from the current pace of membership requests..it will continue to do so ..indefinitely.. So, I welcome you to the club...and let's "shake on it"!!! |
